Pastor's Biography

Vitaliy Bondarenko was born and raised in a Christian home in the Kyiv region of Ukraine. He completed grade school with honors, despite the fact that there was Christian prosecution going on at the time. In 1971, Vitaliy completed a technical program and received a certification in electromechanics.

Vitaliy began preaching at the age of 14.

From 1971 to 1975, he was the youth leader in the city of Zaparozhye. From 1985 to 1992, Vitaliy was pastor of a church in the city of Belaya Tserkov, in the Kyiv region of Ukraine. With changing politics and Perestroika in the country came freedom of preaching the Gospel. Vitaliy actively participated in evangelism at this time. Together with “Gideon” Ministries, he was on a team of 12 people that handed out 40,000 new testaments per year. In Belaya Tserkov, his team visited schools, institutions, and prisons. They ministered to people and invited them to attend church. For three years, there were people who gave their lives to the Lord every Sunday. In 1991, Ukraine was one of the first countries that allowed televangelism.

In 1993 Vitaliy moved to Kyiv, and was selected to develop evangelism events throughout Ukraine with “ОЦХВЕ”, an organization focused on uniting churches. His main focus was on preaching to non-believers and planting churches. In 1993, “Tabor” church was established in Kyiv which Vitaliy was pastor of until the year 2000. The church experienced a powerful revival – for the first three years, new believers were baptized by water every few months.

Between 1995 and 2000, Vitaliy was the head pastor of a network of churches that consisted of new believers in the Kyiv region. Alongside, he held responsibilities in organizing youth ministry with “ОЦХВЕ”, which at the time worked with 600 churches.

As of 1993, Vitaliy has taught instructional lessons for new believers, lessons of prayer, instruction for preaching and instruction for Christian leaders. While living in Ukraine, God granted him the opportunity to travel to 20 different countries to preach the gospel.

In 2000, Vitaliy and his family moved to the United States. At the present time he is the pastor of “Living Stream” church in Jacksonville. He is still an active instructor in various bible schools throughout the United States and Ukraine. He preaches at conferences and services in churches all over America and the world.

Pastor Vitaliy is happily married. Together with his wife, Natalya, they have 5 children.
