The annual “Be The Change” conference is an event that youth from all over the US looks forward to. Every year the weekend of the conference is one filled with fellowship, worship, and transformation of lives. This year Be The Change Conference exceeded all expectations through the presence of God in the worship and sermons. With the topic of the conference being “Pass It On” taken from the scripture 2 Timothy 2:2 we learned what it means to live out the wisdom, knowledge, and insight that God has instilled in each and every one of us and how to successfully disciple those who the Lord calls us to.
Bogdan Bondarenko, Senior Pastor of Living Stream Church and Carter Conlon, Senior Pastor of Times Square Church shared powerful messages about the importance of discipleship in our Christian lives; that it is not only important to receive from the Word of God and spiritual teachers around us, but it is also vital that we pass on what we learn to the next generation.
Pastor Vitaliy Bondarenko was one of the biggest examples of a Christian living out the call of Jesus. Before his passing, he ignited those hearts around him to love others in such a way that they pass on to others that which they have received. Through sickness and health he walked in God’s Spirit and this Spirit he passed onto those around him. In the beginning of the year, he named the year a “Year of Discipleship” at Living Stream Church. This conference completely revealed and emphasized this theme through highlighting the importance of changing lives through discipleship and helping others grow.
We are called to GO and make disciples. Through this, we bring the change to our families, our churches, our communities and our nation. In order to be the change, you must pass it on.
